On October 14th, the Global SDGs and Leadership Development Center (GSLDC) has officially partnered with the World Green Design Organization (WGDO) to certify and empower Young Green Designers worldwide. This landmark collaboration was formalized during the WGD Conference and Brussels Forum, attended by over 200 delegates from across the globe.
Representing GSLDC, Dr. Tan Eng Han, Founding Director, signed the collaboration agreement, marking a significant step toward nurturing youth-led innovation in sustainable design. The initiative aims to provide global certification, recognition, and capacity-building opportunities for emerging green design leaders.

A highlight of the event was the presence of Janos Pasztor, Vice President of WGDO and former UN Assistant Secretary-General for Climate Change, who delivered a keynote speech and presented awards to organizations making outstanding contributions to green design. His leadership and advocacy underscore the importance of integrating sustainability into design practices.

While Prof. Dr. Erik Solheim, Former United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Former Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), was not present, both he and Janos Pasztor serve as Council Members of WGDO and are Advisors to GSLDC. Their dual roles reflect a shared commitment to advancing the SDGs through global collaboration and sustainable innovation.
