On August 31, 2025, the Future Life Experience and Team Collaboration Zone of the Osaka World Expo hosted a special exhibition, the “Light of Life” Digital AI Youth Art Exhibition. This exhibition was part of the official event of the Osaka World Expo, the “Art and Technology for a Sustainable Future (ATSF) Plan,” and served as an important component of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions in 2005, carrying profound significance. The event brought together representatives from global policymakers, cultural leaders, artists, scientists, and other sectors. Ernesto Renato Ottone Ramírez, Assistant Director-General for Culture at UNESCO, delivered a video message, while Giacomo Mazzone, Secretary-General of the European Television Forum (Eurovisioni), delivered a keynote speech. Representatives from national pavilions of Algeria, Canada, China, France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, and other countries participated in discussions and shared their cultural treasures.

The exhibition, with the core theme of “Light of Life: Imagination and Hope for the Future World,” has attracted global attention and become a beautiful scenery showcasing the creativity and future thinking of young people at the World Expo. The exhibition invites young people aged 4-18 worldwide, aiming to stimulate their deep thinking on the value of life, ecological coexistence, and cultural dialogue through the medium of art.

Out of 4000 works collected from 20 countries around the world, only the top 300 successfully broke through and were able to be exhibited here. For each exhibited artwork, the children devoted over 8 hours of creative time, fully demonstrating their passion for artistic creation and positive embrace of technology.

A major highlight of this exhibition is the display of AI works. Chinese teenagers use AI to create, achieving a deep integration of digital technology and artistic creation. AI tools have helped them break the boundaries of traditional imagination and create new forms of art. Those dynamic images not only showcase the children’s unique creativity, but also mark a new stage of artistic creation with the help of technology, leaving the audience amazed.

At the exhibition site, tourists from all over the world stopped at the exhibition area and exclaimed at the creativity of the young people. From the moving future world in ‘Sky City’ to the wonderful scene of exploring the ocean of knowledge in ‘Flying Library’; From the surrealist perspective brought by ‘Face’ to the brilliant collision of ancient and future in ‘Qingyun: Dreaming of Time and Space’, each piece of work is dazzling. These works vividly illustrate the powerful force generated by the collision of youthful vitality and technological innovation.

The “Light of Life” Digital AI Youth Art Exhibition at the Osaka World Expo not only provides a stage for global youth to showcase their talents, but also allows the audience to see hopeful ideas for the future world through the perspective of children. Welcome people from all walks of life to visit and experience this unique artistic charm and youthful vitality.
