Background
The United Nations Sustainable Development Model United Nations (UNSMUN) is an international academic platform that brings together youth from across the globe to simulate UN discussions, with a special focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UNSMUN – ASIA, held in Singapore from July 17–19, 2025, is organized by the UNITAR SDGs Singapore Center and emphasizes high-level debates on pressing global challenges. It is open to middle and high school students who wish to develop skills in diplomacy, critical thinking, and international cooperation.
UNSMUN Vision
UNSMUN is inspired by UN General Assembly Resolution 77/336, recognizing the importance of engaging youth in global governance through MUN. Its vision is to empower the younger generation to think critically, act responsibly, and innovate solutions for global problems.
